RIP David Bowie, you've gone to that great recording studio in the sky.
He was a true legend and one of rocks greats.
Ground control to Major Tom...they broke the mould with Bowie.

Never really was a fan of him, but one still cannot deny the influence this guy had on pop music.

A bit of a shocker, too, as he had just released a studio album of all new material three days ago.

I made one here earlier but as he's a bit of a legend he well deserves two.

Only song that I really liked with David Bowie was Under Pressure.

Either way... RIP... he did influence many many artists and fans.

i also wan't a big fan of bowie. he is the statue with rod stewart, or other singers that more than bowie. bowie could sing a song, his counterparts of his group of singers that he is compare to. he really didn't a bad voice on him. i would up look one of his songs, offhand , i can't think one.

in general, he seem be nice person, on the talk interviews that i saw him on tv. i really don't know much about him.

I've always been loathe to admit this myself because a lot folks with the same taste in music that you and I share consider it near sacrilege. I never really got into his stuff though and honestly...I tried. I really did. There were a few of his songs I liked but mostly it just didn't get me the way a lot of other artists, even similar artists, did.

That being said, he was extremely influential both in the protopunk and postpunk scenes.

And I still do think this is a killer f***ing song:

You should watch Labyrinth after seeing this. It's not what you think once again, but still a solid movie much like Legend was. You guessed it, the main character knew Robin Hood. They just reversed roles of king and prince. Together that is.
