Quick Question about a friend wanting to join.

My friend wants to join but when we go to the join for free link, it says you have to buy a subscription. Do you really have to pay now?

That's new to me. I didn't have to pay when I joined. There's always been an optional donation area but never previously a subscription fee.

Yes, like Facehugger said, try different browser and clear cache. If that doesn't work in some rare cases, you have to register from a different computer with different ip.

I think its there to limit multiple accounts. Not sure if it's effective and show the subscription only with members with low activity/participation or member age length though.
