Public Toilets

Not sure where to post this one!!!

My point is -- what do you think of Unisex loos??? I was out recently and needed to use the toilet as a matter of urgency, due to an on-going health problem. I followed the directions and reached a door with a pay slot on it. Paying wasn't a problem, I don't mind paying for the service, as it's something everyone needs. But to my horror, when the door opened, I saw it was Unisex. I hurried to a cubicle, closed and locked the door, done the business, listened carefully for footsteps and when I felt confident there was no one else around, I made a hurried exit. To me, this is a disgrace, no one should have to feel under such a treat in such a place. Others views welcomed please.

Would have preferred to pay for the paperthan the experience

to be honest when nature calls and the loos are clean it's all good, like if ya really worry about it squating is always recommended it's a division of sexs that's engrained since birth and has spread out to our elimination habits

hmm,sharing a bathroom with guys wouldn't be my cup of tea, I just wouldn't feel right with a guy to my left washing up as I was freshening up. The paying to do your do would piss me off more though, how much did you have to pay?

Unisex is bad for bathrooms If the bathroom was clean and hygenic I would pay instead of getting a free dirty bathroom

That would be pretty weird I think. They should definitely make them separate.

Paying to use the bathroom is very common in Europe.

I don't see the big deal really. I only tend to use them if I really have to, but when I do, I'm just grateful for the facility really. Public loos seem few and far between these days.

I felt that if they were willing to charge, then they should at least have provided a supervisor. To be honest, I got such a shock, that I couldn't tell you what it was like, but I did get relief in one part of me while there was hell in my brain and heart.

anything to make money, geeze. It's not a lot of money but it adds up and always needing change on hand.. it just seems ridiculous to me... i'll have piss running down my leg before I find my money..

Many of the "better" public toilets have coin slots, and it's logical - you want a clean facility, it all costs to maintain. Having said that, I'd rather squat in a bush than go to a public toilet....but being a bloke, that's a sight easier for me than for a woman.

I don't know what womens toilets are like, but blokes ones are notoriously bad. You walk in, then pay the ferryman to row you across the piss lake in the middle of the floor. Cubicle one, pebbledashed up the sides, cubicle two blocked and turds floating to meet you, cubicle three, pee splashed everywhere..........you get the image
