Ok!

I've been thinking on relationships on the whole.

Being in a live in relationship has it's pros and cons!

Long distance relationships also have pros and cons!

I think living together can become a bit stale and a little too much in your face being together every day, but on the other hand having a long distance relationship can cause other types of problems like trust, not be able to touch, hug etc...

Which would you prefer and what would be your reasons for preferring one over the other..

My pick is definitely 'Live in Relationship'. I don't think I could do 'Long Distance' as I have a very hard time trusting..

Maxi and I trust each other 100%. I much prefer being with him in person, but I'd rather be in a LDR with him than not have him at all.
I'm a loner, so the pro is I have alot of me time, but the con is I miss him all the time.
I don't know. I don't think you can put a con/pro on a relationship if you really love the person as that means you're thinking the relationship may not be for you.
A relationship is what it is.

I'm loving my live in my face living here relationship, however, the LDR part we had was pretty nice too...

I think though, when it comes down who you are with, if it's right, the pros are always worth the cons no matter what situation the relationship in is.

I've never had an LDR so I was trying to get into the mindset of those who have.

I'm not saying that an LDR could not work, even face to face relationships don't always work.

I am just curious as to how it feels on the whole!!

Not knocking any type of relationship at all, so don't take that stance, I really want to know the differences if there are any..

I say my 'trust' issues would probably make my LDR relationship really tough if not impossible.

Ok! I get it, everyone thinks I'm attacking LDR's..

This is a valid question and curiosity but if this is how it's going to be, nix the question.

Thank You for your comments.

And trust issues can damper an LDR pretty bad. However, the two that I had, despite my trust issues I didn't think twice about it so

The important thing is that the person is happy.

I have found in an LDR you learn how to effectively communicate alot faster.
You learn more about the person as you 'talk' more than anything else.
You get creative to have dates which makes it fun
But if your bond is strong it doesn't matter that you're not face to face.
This is the best relationship I've ever had

I didn't think that you were... I was just saying that mine were pretty good, and in general, any worthwhile relationship LDR or live are going to be that way.

you actually made a great thread here!

Thanks! Curiosity has been nagging at me about it.

At times I really think that LDR's may be better for me as I love my space but it conflicts with trust..

Before I met Maxi I never thought I would be able to be in a LDR, but I fell for him and that was that

I am in a relationship of 6 years now but at times feel like I should have picked a Long Distance Truck Driver because I love my time alone.

Does that make any sense? I love him, but sometimes it feels like it's too much in my face..

You're welcome. Sorry about the knee jerk reaction. I just get tired of hearing 'LDRs never work' and the like. Not saying you werent' as I knew that's not what you were getting at.
