I'm wondering if I'm the only one who notices poor grammar. For example, some people post "could of had" and I post "could have had", which I believe is proper.

There are so many other things, but I don't want to sound like a grammar Nazi!

I question some of my own grammar. It's hard to remember certain things. When two people are used in a sentence, would it be proper to use a specific verb? Here's an example: "Tom and Jane have been here." It looks wrong when one person isn't mentioned, i.e. "Tom have been here." Am I correct with the "have been"?

I notice it too and it does kind of bother me, but I won't call out people for it. I use contractions a lot.

Bad punctuation is another thing I've noticed. Not using apostrophes in contractions is wrong.

I tend to nit-pick over double negatives.

Like: "I ain't never seen anything like that."

I know! I'm from Texas and I don't use "ain't" unless I'm being silly.
