We all have our strong convictions. Sometimes it's hard to see each other's because of that. I am totally on your side LAW, as I am proud of our President and the backbone he's given this country.

I also respect my opponents. Nivago, I am saddened to see you driven to such hatred for these people. I don't believe this helps either side; it only drives us further apart.

I'll be frank with you. I can't stand the Democratic Party. I like some Democrats; I like some a lot. But the party in large -- can't stand it at all. I don't trust Clinton as far as I could toss him. I can't stand Kerry and his policies.

But, at the same time, I acknowledge that most of us, as much as we can't stand each other at times, are all striving for the same end: a better America. We have radically different means, but we all want the best. We forget that about each other, and we become bitter enemies. That is not "united we stand". The beauty of this country is our ability to be at each other's throats at one minute and in each other's arms the next, and that is something we can never afford to loose.

Just food for thought.

Like I said before, it would be far more interesting if all politicians had to wear funny orange fuzzy hats. I think we should vote that in.

:x Personally, I think that all college people should elect Homer Simpson as president. After all, if all of us should vote, whoever we voted for would win by a landslide, and Homer would be a way for us to show our opinion of politics today! Answers???
