railroad ride of former President Lincoln.
You talk about history repeating itself, this is just one more example. I can finally say without reservation that I am proud to be an American. To see history in the making is awesome.

How about if both the Republicans and Democrats in Congress decide to work together to do what is best for American citizens instead of what is best for their parties?

Now that will be history making!

I agree. But you and I both know that the Republican Party is the management part of our society and the Democratic Party is our workers part of our society. Either way we have to work together, like you say, for our betterment.

Well, lets not hope history COMPLETELY repeats itself in this case. Lincoln lost a child in said train ride.

Lincoln was a racist. He was said to talk about freeing the slaves and sending them to a colony in Africa. I easily found all that and more on the internet. Look it up.

Let me know what site in particular you are talking about. From what I have read he opposed slavery. He did say that he would not oppose slavery in states that already had slavery but that he opposed the expansion of slavery to stop it. Re: Wikipedia-Lincoln and the issue of slavery.

Yeah, the train crashed (maybe derailed, I don't remember) and killed 1 of Lincoln's sons. It was kind of a gruesome death, too.

Really? Why not?
