Thank you for the correction. The intention to pass on the information was honourable. Half of our company have received such a warning, again with honourable intentions. If the site has been closed down all well and good. Believe me when I say this though, I will not be the first or the last to have tried, apparently unnecessarily, to prevent confidence tricksters from ripping people off. Thank you for correcting me concerning this matter. I feel no sense of embarrassment at this faux pas. Many other collleagues are probably doing the same thing.
