Patriot Act Extension

Obama signed for a one year extension of the "Patriot Act"...
Why?
I think this thing has run its course and should have expired or been stopped before.
In my opinion it violates the 4th amendment.
But, what do you think?
Should he have extended it?

I don't know why he did it, I'm not sure if they have some information which would make it necessary to keep it active.

I don't like it but I can't say I would or wouldn't extend it either.

Unless he saw some kind of threat that was possible?
I just hope his intel is more reliable than W's was. I don't blame W for his faults, ...his advisors were crap. Best intentions, bad intel, and congress and the Senate went with the intel too...Let's see what happens this time...Remember, No President is infallible!

Well i think it was maybe ok for a couple of months, but it definitely should not still be active.
Then again i guess that is a good point, the president knowing information kept from us could influence his decision.
Eh, i must remain neutral to this then...
