Meet Michael Stahl, otherwise known as "Pastor Mike." Stahl lives in Miramar, Florida, and leads an online church called Living Water Church, which we think is a fancy way of saying he hangs out a lot in a Christian-themed chat room. Stahl has proposed the creation of a national registry for atheists, much like the ones in existence for sex offenders. It's almost self-evident why this is a good idea, but let's have Stahl explain it himself:

'It's almost self-evident why this is a good idea'. What in the world are you thinking! So we need to have a registry for- Atheist, Jews, Agnostics, Christians, Buddhist, Muslims...............etc.
WHY? Please explain YOUR reasoning behind this 'self-evident' idea.

Yes to the Muslims, that's priority number 1! If we had that in 2001 then 9/11 wouldn't have happened. Without a register Muslims can get on public transport and airplanes with bomb water! Do you want that! Muslims and bomb water! Crazy talk dude, crazy talk.

Apparently this "fine fellow" believes "freedom of religion" only applies to those that have religious beliefs.

It appears you misunderstand the complexities of irony.

Also, that was copy and pasted from the link anyway, not my words.

Sorry! My bad

No worries, it can be hard to convey tone over the internet.

Just a suggestion.

When posting a quote from a news article or other outside source, it's a good idea to put that post in "quotes"

That way the reader doesn't automatically assume it came from you.

Just a thought.

I put the link I quoted it from right after the post. That is sufficient.

I think it would have been more honest if you'd indicated that 'your' introductory paragraph was directly lifted from the link we are being directed to.
