I would never feed my kid that junk, I understand it saves time cooking, but it's your child. I always ask my parents rather to take a rest and I'll do the cooking rather than to get a ready meal.

So parents, answer?

No. We don't eat ready meals ourselves so we don't feed the kids it.

Well one of the kids is too small for anything and unless formula counts as a ready meal then no

They'd have given breast milk.

My parents get us ready meals because they never have the time to as my mum works evenings and my dad isn't a proper parent anyway. It's not everyday but can be a couple of times a week, I've stopped eating them.

I was given ready meals as a child. My mum is a good cook but she is a single mother who works full time so me and my sister could have any food. You really think after a long day at work she can come back and cook proper food every evening?

It would be unrealistic and unfair on her.

I don't see the problem really, they taste fine to me. If I could afford them I'd probably still buy them.

What are you asking? What they'd have given in the place of breast milk before infant formula's were invented? Probably cow's milk as the formula's you can buy are cow's milk formula.

They're not particularly healthy but I had them when I was a teenager at home, my parents both worked full time and incredibly hard so I don't think it's terrible once in a while to have one.

The problem imo is when they make up the majority of a child's diet because they are all processed and most are pumped with salt.

Or died if they couldn't.

Then again like 100 years ago they had wet nurses
