This is exactly why I don't listen to the radio anymore (with the exception of our classic rock station).
Besides half the music just being awful, they play the same 30 songs all day long.
Nowadays I use my iPod in the car, not even turning on the radio anymore. That way I can listen to something specifically or I can have the whole thing on shuffle. It's like my own private juke box.
And I don't have to hear the same song every hour on the hour.

Argh, I swear if I hear Linkin Park's new song or Rockstar by Nickleback one more time today I am going to seriously hurt someone!

Why do radios and TV shows overplay things so much? Everyone just ends up giving them s*** for doing it, and hating the song, so why bother?

It's like Green Day's American Idiot album that came out back in 2004 or whatever, I was really looking forward to it coming out, but all the songs from it were so majorly overplayed that when I bought it I couldn't stand to listen to it!

In conclusion - Overplayed music is s***e!

Overplaying it does take the sweetness out of it all..
then again, on the other hand, if I hear it, and they don't play it alot, I usually end up playing it over and over in my head, and hearing it anyway for weeks!! ,and that's just as bad.

Do the people ever think before they call into the radio stations.. telling them that they want to hear it. The radio station is there to make people happy, and how are they spose to do that when they don't play what the fans want. Even if it DOES piss other people off.

I used to listen to:

Fall Out Boy
My Chemical Romance
Muse
Blink 182
Stereophonics

And many other bands until the radio played them so often.
The it was like, "I'm so gonna kill the DJ if they play that 1 more time! I don't care if it's Chris Moyles, I'll f***ing kill them!"

They really need to overplay my favorite songs.
I hate the ride home and there is nothing on that I like, yet I don't have the mp3 version or the CD for it.

I'm the one scream singing in the car when you look out you're passenger window on the road. At least I'm not picking my nose, right?
