One Kudos Per Day

I think the number of Kudos allocated to each person should be reduced to one a day. It seems like 15 kudos is so much that Kudos doesn't really mean anything. I kind of feel that if each member can only give one, then any time someone receives one it would be for a great comment.

What does everyone else think?

Had 50 for a while and 10 before that.

I just feel that Kudos is sort of meaningless. It's no better than someone putting 'I agree' in the following post.

If there is one per day then the person who receives it knows that the person giving it thinks that post is worthy of being the best post on the site on that day.

No, I like giving kudos to a post that is thoughtful, funny or informative. I think most people enjoy seeing that there post was appreciated, and that won't happen as much for some if you only get one a day.

I think 15 is a decent number. Many sites with this feature it is unlimited, so I don't think reducing it to '1' makes much sense.

Without negs to counter-balence them Kudos means absolutely nothing. The only way to have them in anyway meaningful or important is to reduce the number so that each one given really is given to a post that deserves it.

It's easy to be in someones top 15 posts of the day, but it means piss all most days.

I save all my kudos to give to people who insult others that I don't like.

I think many members do the same thing which is downright ridiculous and childish. No offense to you as I'm sure you're probably joking.

I'd much rather give Kudos to a thoughtful, compassionate, and/or helpful reply than praise others for bad behavior. I also use the "funny" option for jokes not made at another member's expense for the most part. With that said, I like receiving Kudos for the same reasons.

I was joking. I just remember awhile back on TFS, when things were a little bit wilder, someone would make a suggestively mean comment towards someone else and, to add insult to injury, they'd receive five kudos for it.

I like the 15 kudos. I don't always use them all everyday, but wouldn't be happy with just one.

I still think 10 was the perfect number, with no limit on spreading it around and having negs too.

But I think that was what was here when I started, and like a first love, I compare everything to it.

I don't know about just one though.
Good posts come in groups, like if TFS just has days where the awesomeness flows and others were everyone seems to be phoning it in.

They're only giving you ten because they're afraid you might accidentally put your eye out if you have too many.

Remove the meaningless reputation from the profile pages. That will stop the kudos whoring.
