Once a cheat, always a cheat? (Poll)

Saw a thread going on Facebook where people were discussing this but it got super long and people started having conversations on it... thought it would be interesting to have a poll on it and see how it differs between men and women, if at all

I'm female and I disagree, but if I were ever in a situation where my partner cheated on me I'd end it straight away. I do think people have the capacity to change, but I personally wouldn't be able to trust them.

People who cheat are a*****es. Even if you can get one to stop cheating, they're still gonna be an a*****e.

No, people can change and cheat for various reasons.

My ex did cheat on me, I found out, forgave her, six months later she did it again which makes me cynical in practice, but tbh I don't think that just because someone does it once it will necessarily mean they will do it again.

I've seen both sides so I have to go with, if it was done to me I would leave but I know some men/women that have cheated and they are still married and it was never done again.

I disagree, I used to use the Up Down Left Right A B C Start cheat on Sonic the Hedgehog, now I don't ever use cheats.

It depends on the person in question and why. I don't think that cheating once damns you to be a cheater for the rest of your life but there are always some men or women that don't take it seriously enough to A) not do it again or B) admit they can't be faithful and save you the trouble of getting rid of them.

I agree with Jon. Past behavior is usually a pretty good predictor of future behavior, but using the word "always" is a bit severe.
