Obama wanting to cut military funding for another National Guard?

what do you think? what's the point of having another agency, when we already have Police, FBI, and National Guard, Home Land Security, what would be the point to having another agency to waste money on...especially if it means cutting from the military budget, which seeings how we have so many enemy's at the moment, the last thing we should do is cut back on our military funding

Why couldn't you just use the funding you're going to use on another agency and spend that money on training an agency we already have?

Obamas already messing up and he's not even in office. the money needs to be spent on the services we have already and the VA. taking the money away will only piss people off. not to mention, if he plans on creating a new service, then he must be planning on war. leave things be. our military men and women have enough to worry about, without worrying that their livelihood would be at stake.

The only thing that I can say about it is that we do not know what is going on as far as much of that type of intelligence is. Maybe, he sees that there is a threat to the homeland that we cannot ignore, and is looking to beef up the security that we have available to us, without taking exsisting troop out of area's that we cannot afford to take them out of. He may be trying to ward off another 9-11. Would you have felt so mad if, in response to the reports that Bush got prior to the attacks, he beefed up our homeland security? I admit, I would be as pissed as you all seem if he did, and that's my bias, and I'm sorry.

Dear.... National Guard has been in place for many many years.... if you read the article, it said he's calling it Civilian National Security Force.

Hitler's crew were not created as a form of National Defense.

Red Guard was a group of kids lead by Mao *not the leader of the country at the time* to revolt about mistreatment of people in the country.

KGB... that doesn't even come close to comparing, the KGB was Russia's response to our CIA, which, only compares to what I think they are talking about is civilian based.

Are you saying that the FBI is for preventing a revolution? That would be correct. Although, now, the FBI does a whole lot more than you could think. I was just posing a theroy... as much as I support Obama... I must say, even with the best of reasons I can think of, this just seems odd. That's why I would love to see a story on it by a non biased source.

I'm not saying they are strictly for that, they do alot more, drug busts, riots, etc. but im saying if there was a revolution, the FBI would be the ones to deal with it, along with the National Guard, and im sure the Police, or SWAT would help out as well
