I was just preparing some oatmeal and I started wondering if most people like oatmeal the way I do or the way my family does.

It's about the amount of liquid in the oatmeal. I like mine prepared with as little water as possible, so it is very thick. Then I put milk or cream on it.

My family likes it with so much water that I could swear someone had already eaten it. Then they still put milk on it. It looks like some hideous soup.

My husband likes his medium runny with butter on it.

So how about all of you?

I like having virtually none in my bowl. What's left over after that I'll let the dog get

HOW SAD!! I love myself a good bowl of oatmeal.

I prefer thick so I can put a little milk and sweetener in it. I also love raisins and/or nuts in it too. Slivered almonds are yummy, I tried dried cranberries once too.

MMMMmmmmm

I like mine pretty viscous as well... too runny is gross to eat. And I have to have sugar in mine usually - lots of it.

Or if not sugar, then it better have apples or something in it.

I like it thick too but not chunky think.

That sounds completely wrong.

I like my oatmeal thick also with a little milk and brown sugar on top. My hubby likes his runny with sugar or butter in his. Talking about it makes me want to go and make a bowl right now...YUMMY!
