Thats so true. I bring my kids up the same way I was; to have good manners, to respect others etc and its actualy quite sad when people say they are amazed at my kids' manners!! Shouldnt this behaviour be the norm instead of a rarity??

Exactly!!! All too often you hear, wow that kid is so polite!! Well they should be!!!

I have a politeness gene and i pronounce my words properly and i get sick and tired of being told i'm posh just because i have manners and courtesy!!!

its all stuff I grew up with. And its not exactly hard. What goes around comes around. Thats how I see it. If you take you must give too.
