Excuse me? Lame? The man served three years in the Senate and that qualified him to hold the high office? No wonder he's tanking.

No, the voters and the electoral college qualified him to hold the office. The other guy was even less qualified than him.. otherwise he would have gotten the job, right?

How am I blinded by race? I see WAY more than Obama's race when I look at him!

You know Sis- that is the most recent ploy to try and demean people of color. It's called the reverse racism race card. It makes being a closet racist A-OK now because, well our president is multi-ethnic so racism can't possibly ever exist anymore!

Personally, I hate affirmative action with a burning passion. It's encouraging people to just be lazy and let their state of being guide the way. And what if they actually want to to better themselves?

Well, I think that's a part of it. It's letting people be hired because of what they are, as opposed to despite what they are. People should be hired based on their qualifications, not because of their sex, skin colour or similar criteria. All affirmative action does is get people ahead, who are less qualified than others, and it leaves them little to no chance to improve themselves as people.

I understand the intentions of affirmative action, but it seems to do more harm than good - and I can only imagine how insulted I'd feel about it if I were a girl. But then again, maybe that's just me, so feel free to explain why you think affirmative action is a good idea, then.
