News Flash the Bush Administration are a bunch of ...

Hypocrites. I know we all know that. Here is a personal story to illustrate this. We have to replace our heating and cooling system. We found that we are eligible to receive a tax credit from the state and from the feds. We are putting in a high efficiency system, spending a little extra to get a good system. We just found out that the state is good with the efficiency rating we are installing, but the feds, or the legislation that is going to be signed by them would force us to spend another 1500 dollars more in order to get the rebate. We are installing a 94.5% system, and the feds want 95% Sounds like a small difference, but it is a lot of money to raise the efficiency when you include both the AC and the furnace.

What I found funny is that we are not doing enough to receive help a tax brekd from the feds, but they have rolled back the requirements from coal fired energy plants and have not really spent any serious attention on gas mileage. So cars and energy plants don't have to be held to high efficient rating but the homeowner has to be. Hmmm. I think that the Bush administration is just looking for some PR without having to spend any money.
