New US-Mexican Border

We all know that our neighbors in the US have many Mexicans sneaking across the 10 foot
high wired fence that coveres 75 miles of the 1000+ miles of borders from The Rio Grande to
Tijuana. The US has considered a new fence but it would cost about 2 billion beans (bucks).

Present Day Fence:

10 foot high wire fence

Future Fence (possible)

Barbed wire
Ditches
20 foot high metal fence
Survey cameras and heat scensors
Border Patrol

Are Mexiacans really that despaerate to get to the US?

There's not even a line painted on the road to show were the border is in Ireland. When the British Army first came her in the 1970's they regularly ended up WAY accross the border.

are there any proper borders anywhere?? i mean when in wales u go inbetween wales and england so much if there was a fence or something you'd get dizzy

Yes...and super yes...there are many Mexicans and other Latin Americans that are dying to cross that wall.

Its called Offas Dyke. King Offa built a ditch all the way from South Wales right up to north Wales along the border wich was higher on one side to have the advantage of hight when we met at the Dyke to do battle.

I dont think that the new fence will actually get built though but for political reasons and not for cost issues

Wow im willin to pay taxes fer that.

Why stop with a fence? Let's be like the Soviet Union and build a big f#cking cement wall, put machine gun terrets on top of it.

Then let's build one to keep the canadians out also.

Finally, let bring our Navy home from around the world so they can protect our ports and kill any f#cking illegal aliens trying to get into the "promissied land".

(Or we could be realistic and work on the real problem...f#cked up immegrations laws that do not work.)

you're right chaski.The walls wouldn't help mainly because those people are so desperate to get into this country they'd chance dying.Then once they get in this country we can't ship them back.It's freaking ridiculous.Then again you could ship every descendant back to europe since we're all technically considered immigrants.Ask a native american.Just my two cents.I apologize for any offence I might have made to anyone.But back on subject the laws are the real issue.They aren't written properly so that people can come into this country and get away with murder without trial.

As for the Berlin Wall, that was built to keep dissidents from being able to leave your country no matter what they wanted.

The proposed US wall would be built to keep illegal immigrants out.

The US lets in more legal immigrants than every other nation on earth combined.. but we can't take them all.

An immigrant is a person who enters one country from his country of origin.

Most Americans were born here and are therefore not immigrants by definition.

sorry but you are mistaken...the real problem is the laws. it is not a geographical boarder...it is the laws, they are screwed up.

there are many symptoms of the problem, mexicans or other latinos coming across the US-Mexican border is one of the many symptoms. but a wall will not work...the laws must be worked on amd fixed

So tell me what you believe is wrong with the laws and how you propose to fix those problems.
