1.Cooks the food faster

2 actually healthy because it put iron into your food,

3 not as annoying as teflan is..not as dangerous as Teflan is,

4 You can cook so many different things in them.

I have done some research on these pans a friend of mine bought it for me because how interested I am on what goes into my body and what I cook my foods in

That's enamelled cast iron, so its not going to add any iron to your food.. It does heat evenly and hold heat well and cook evenly.

My grandmother used them; the black, non coated cast iron skillets and pans though.
Her pot roasts were always to die for. I attribute that to the cast iron roaster...made the most delicious pan drippings too.

Don't drop it.

And don't bang spoons or other utensils on the edge, or you'll chip it.

This isn't the kind you need to season right?
because I always thought it was the season that made it non-stick.

What is "seasoning", and how do you do it?

Aren't most regular non-stick pans $20. Shiz, the cast irons I see run up to $125

I do like cast irons because you can just as easily cook in it as you can bake in it. I make an amazing apple pie that starts on the stove top and finishes in the oven - all in the same pan.
