I don't hold any particular rage or love for HTML. It is what it is, much like the ethernet cord going into my computer.

Why, is there supposed to be a feeling towards it?

It's a programming language, not simply a device. I just thought it was ridiculous to hate it.

I know what it is. I was just using an example to, what you just said there, point out the ridiculousness of it.

There are just so many reasons that make coding in css more sensible, cross browser compliancy among them. It is almost like what we used to call subroutines back in the day (procedures). The routine (in this case design element) may appear all over the site. If you need to change it and you have "included" a css file, there is only one edit instead of many.
