Must make you proud to see that the Scots get a whole verse (6) of the British National Anthem devoted to them.

I'm just listening to an old Billy Connolly CD where he mentions the National Anthem.

He suggests changing it the the theme from the Archers.

billt Connolly is awesome!!

I'm reading Pamela's book on him at present.

It's very revealing on the reason Billy reacts as he does in many situations.

It's also hillariously funny. He tells of the Australian/ Scot who attacked him on stage and threw a punch aimed right for his chin. The only thing the assailant didn't realise was that Billy's chin doesn't extend to the bottom of his beard. Whoose big air punch.

Pamela tells the true story that Billy was barracked by a tribe of Scottish biggots when he first played Brisbane who chanted foul mouthed anti-Catholic and Rangers hate songs. Billy's reaction was to shout "f*** off" and walk of the stage after 15 minutes.

Victory for the man in the beard who took home the ticket money and the loosers were the w**kers who paid to see 15 minutes of them chanting their biggoted hatred. 8)

Yeah I've heard bout that!! I've got a DVD of him playing Brisbane and he says he loves it there but I'm sure he's lying!

No in the book she said that after that first time he's played Brisbane and does enjoy it. But he does always get a wee dig in about being "attacked on stage by the beard puncher"

Next time I see him I must tell him I want my money back
