Mp3 Players/ Ipods

Hi all.

I've convinced my mum to buy me an mp3 player and im allowed to choose whatever one i want.... I was wondering what you guys thing of Ipods ive been told they are s***e but still so many people have them...

do you guys recommend them... if not which do you recommend?

I'm looking into buying an ipod nano. I don't know why people would buy ipods if they weren't good. Just because it's the cool thing to do? Maybe.

It's an mp3 player, it's just apple. I don't really know much about them, but I just want a good mp3 player, preferably something small in size but something that holds around 1000 songs.

I'll be looking for tips too

yeah thats same as me i want summit that holds a fair amount of songs... altho apple computers were crap they hardly do anything lol

Don't get an ipod cause you can only use it with songs you get from itunes. Really limiting!

I would get something else that you could put any mp3's on it. Not just ones you have downloaded from Itunes. I think that would be my biggest complaint of it.

do u have to pay for the songs from itunes? can u not just use he music that is on ur pc already?

My friend said ipods play .mp3 files? I asked her about it--that was one of the reasons I wanted to get an mp3 player too--but she said she illegally downloads and is able to put those .mp3s on her ipod too

Ipods will take a load of different file formats, mp3, wav etc

i have had about 4 different mp3 players, they were good but all broke, each time i got a cheap upgrade for the inconvenience and have ended up with a video ipod, it is the best by miles, i dont go anywhere without it now.

so the mp3s iv got on my comp just now will go on to an ipod?

if you get the new itunes download you can convert songs on itunes to the right format for ipods

Well, that's nice and all, except for the fact that it's totally false.

You can put any and all mp3's onto your iPod.

In any case, the iPod is still the player to beat.

Get an MP3 player! iPods are so passe...

ipods are louder, look nicer, give nicer sound due to the EQ and are easy to use, ipod every time, well for me anyway just beacause of the trouble i have had with normal mp3's
