I brought her flowers, but she said no.
I gave her chocolates, but told me to go.
I serenaded her with songs of the heart,
But we both still remain, far apart.

I got her the sunshine, I moved the moon,
I would do anything, to make her swoon.
Not even interested, she glanced away,
Told me to come back another day.

I told her I would swim every sea,
I told her I would make the wind obey me.
I would tear out my heart if it would appease.
She looked at me and said 'Hell might as well freeze'.

Well what do you want, my dear? Just ask.
I will split the Earth open, if that be my task.
She smiled and said 'Its as simple as this'.
She pulled me towards her, and said 'just give me a kiss'.

I am a soft sod at heart.
