Yah...I think that most of the old testament was people realizing that they could preserve knowledge beyond a single generation by writing. That's why there are so many begets and strange common sense.

And the Hercules story shares an amazing number of similarity for earlier Mesopotamian myths. As for the whole garden of eden bit, gardens, snakes, trees and choosing funny apples is even more common.

Does the bible not only say fruit? i don't remember reading apple although that seems to be what everyone talks about.

no crap sherlock! i was saying Samson has a similar story too, in that he had unhuman like strengh. as did conan or someone along those lines.

I was talking about the fact he was the son of a god performed amazing feats during his life, died and was taken up to olympus by his father.
