Yeah even the Tea Party in AZ, maybe especially the TP in AZ, doesn't like McCain--probably cause down here his two faces are even more obvious. I've called him a lot of things but I've never sunk to using pure name calling before. The guy's a senile, camera hogging, good 'ol boy jerk. There, I said it and I'm glad.

And I agree with PT on this. I didn't like McCain when he was running for prez. Didn't like or trust him then, don't now either. He's got too much 'crat in him to be trustworthy.

Keep it up.
I'm all for the split the tea baggers are causing in the pub ranks.
Seen this before in Kansas.

Pubs are alla time sayin' how a third party would be a disaster and a win for Obama. They forget a few things, like Ross Perot was a joke who couldn't shine people now in the age of universal communication; the good 'ol boy Republicans ain't nothin' but arrogant, patronizing socialist lites draggin' us down the road lined with good intentions just a little bit slower; and maybe most important, Republicans are forgetting they got their start as a third party.

Now all we need is another Reagan......or Lincoln. Do I hear a spark?:

Quote:
Freshman Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said on a conference call when asked by Politico about McCain’s remarks. "I think in reading the books, the hobbits were the heroes. They overcame great obstacles, and I think I'd rather be a hobbit than a troll."

Oh God, wish I'd said that!!!!

I'm somewhat surprised at the ill-feeling towards McCain. Wasn't he the one who tried to open the lid on all the 'Enhanced interrogation techniques' in Gitmo etc?

I mean I'm not a conservative so if I lived in the US I wouldn't have voted for him, but as far as I can tell he is one of the good guys in the Republican camp. Always came across as assured and in it for the right reasons.

John McCain has so many liberal positions on things that matter to conservatives, so I believe you're mistaken.... You certainly would have found his positions so liberal that you would have voted for him.
He remains respected, because of his past service, but conservatives will not tolerate some of his views,... for example, his pressing desire to grant amnesty to a s***-load of illegal aliens, and call it 'comprehensive immigration reform.'

If calling some 1 a hobbit is supposed to be an insult, then McCain isn't very good at it. What's next, is he going to compare hippies to elves and Obama to Legalos? I'm sure in his mind that makes perfect sense too.
