I watch at the window
I see your lights
I rush to the door
You drive out of sight

Why don?t you stop?
Why don?t you come in?
I have become sad
And I have lost my grin

Every day I wait
But you haven?t come home
The house is so empty
I feel all alone

Your lights again
No it?s not you
I need your help
What do I do?

The mail came
Your letter I read
It?s not in your writing
Oh my... You?re....

I?m sorry I was sad
When your lights went by
I didn?t mean
For you to die...

They tell me the story
Of how you were brave
We?ve just left flowers
Beside your grave

To hear here your voice
To touch your face
To me that would be
Sweet heavens grace

But you were good
And I know one day
We?ll be together
For this I pray

With all the laughter
And good times we had
This tear is for you
I miss you dear dad
