Nick Clegg has said the Lib Dems are being "blamed" for coalition spending cuts as the party suffers heavy losses in English local elections.

The Lib Dems have lost almost half their councillors in results declared so far, with many seats going to Labour. The Tory vote is holding up.

No Nick, you're being blamed for selling out.

Can't say I'm surprised to be honest.

There'll be less demand from official sources for flowery maxi skirts now.

I'm torn on this.

On the one hand I am frustrated with what the coalition are doing and feel saddened that a liberal party would prop up a conservative party.

On the other hand I do want a strong liberal party in the UK as I think there are a large amount of people who are liberal and need a party to stand up for their values.

Also Nick Clegg joining the coalition has been absolutely disastrous and we now somehow have a nationalist majority government in Scotland who are going to push through an independence referendum and minimum pricing for alcohol, both of which scare the s*** out of me.
