Currently picking up some buzz on Twitter is the news that the founder of the LGBTory group, the biggest Conservative group campaigning for gay rights, has announced her intention to vote Labour over the non-reprimanding of Chris Grayling by David Cameron for his remarks that B&B owners should "have the right" to turn away homosexual couples.

-------------------------------------

Apart from anything else, anyone else surprised a gay woman who is 20 would be voting Tory anyway? I mean those are two demographics (The young and the gays) who rarely vote Tory as it is.

Anyway, looks like this Chris Gayling thing is becoming a right thorn in the Nasty Parties side.

I agree. It's not very often you see "Tory", "Gay" and "Activist" to describe one person! I wouldn't be surprised if that guy is never reprimanded.

If you can't contribute something intelligent, don't contribute anything at all!

personally i do not see what all the fuss was about regarding chris graylings views he expressed, if a christian is opposed to homosexuality so be it, other faiths equally find homosexuality offensive.

we have a politically correct system in place which stifles debate in this country, and labels anyone who dares to voice concerns not in line with the human rights/equalities brigade as extremists, homophobes or worse.

Ia view for gods sake, time was we had lots of mp's who had conviction of their views but the dumbing down of this and the enforcement to follow the party whips rule, is damaging to politics.

i support anyone who has the bottle to stand up and speak their mind, even if i do not agree with what they are saying, this should be encouraged.

I think someone who is in a prominent position of one of the two main political parties shouldn't uttering comments in favour of homophobia.

Either he should apologise or the party should reprimand him in some way. The fact they haven't shows that the Tories are still the same old nasty party of old.
