I thought this was interesting

Ignorant lawmakers

It went largely unnoticed last week when Virginia lawmakers voted to repeal a 19th century law banning cohabitation and sexual relations between unmarried adults.
But the real headline here is how 25 legislators-- 21 Republicans, 3 Democrats and 1 independent-- voted against the repeal.

And before you say its never enforced, it WAS used as an abusive tool against a daycare provider. I guess the old Russian methodology is still coveted by some. Make ALL your citizens criminals so you can prosecute and oppress whom you don't like

Would have assumed the Repubs to be in favor of....Apparently however the only ones really paying attention.

We have a few Blanket Laws in NZ - It allows for less paper work to investigate someone closer.

ie; No wandering around your house nude = Intended to catch dirty old men that like to stand in their front windows naked when the schools let out.

This particular law, as you stated, is leaving the door open to easily harass everyone.

I see the same thing is still on the books in Mississippi..

They'll get rid of it in another 140 years or so..
