Can you survive on only a few hours of sleep every night and remain healthy?

It's really not healthy for your mind or body. It takes a toll on the body. I began to suffer from severe muscle fatigue to the point of having to take several weeks at a time off from work on medical leave because I simply wasn't able to do my job. I literally had to retrain my body and mind to sleep properly.

If you drive a lot, and don't get enough kip..it could be end of days for you, and possibly some unlucky people who were there at the wrong time.

My sleep is so irregular but I do get in about 6-7 hours a day over 2 increments. I feel I can do more and have better results in my life then when I slept it all at once. I do sleep 7 hours or so once a week or so on the weekend simply because I have time to, I process a lot of info online and wait for replies from credit companies because of the ventures I'm involved with and international business is usually done in their morning time forcing me to work at night sometimes not all the time but I get things done in timely fashion that way.
I have 4 computers here at home and I love this sight cause while processing and waiting for answers and emails it fills in the gaps.

Thanks guys....I think I'm biologically trained to survive with only a few hours sleep. I can stay up for a few days sometimes because i just cant switch off. I need to take clonidine, mogadon, restavit and stilnox to help me but i mix it up because i build tolerance to them easily and from friday morning i'll stay up till saturday morning or even sunday morning and get a 7-9 hour sleep in without any aid.

I binge drink on friday night and that exacerbates my sleeping problem. If i drink, i dont sleep till i'm sober. If i'm playing poker at the casino, i dont sleep for almost a day after my last hand....

Try the bible ...if that don't knock you out after the first chapter throw it in the air and strategically place your head in the way when it returns downwards...
...failing that....listen to any stuff from Daniel Bleedingfield

G'night

I live on between 3 and 6 hours a day during the week, and on the weekends I 'catch up' by getting 8 or 9 each day. My schedule is screwed up though, because I sleep days and work nights.

It's nearly time for bed now. (9:40am)..

I have been having sleeping problems for a while now. I will wake up in the middle of the night, and be wide awake. I can tell that it is affecting my health. I'm getting sicker, and my muscles have been hurting. Plus, I am too young to take sleeping pills.

Spicy you should look into trying tricyclic antidepressants, they might reset your brain chemistry for sleep till you get your body clock working again...
Being from New Jersey, have you heard of a place called Hoboken??
