Joseph Clegg, landscape artist

My great great great great grandfather Joseph Clegg was born in Manchester here in England. He was a landscape artist and I was wondering if anyone had heard of him or if there is some sort of resource I can use to find out a bit more about him. The main thing is that I would like to see a few of the pictures he painted.

Hi. I am currently doing some research to try and find out the value of some lithographs and other art works found in a frame I bought that actually came apart and included three frames nestled in one. One of the picutures has the copyright (C) in pencil in the margins of the matt housing the picture, and the following signature, also in pencil is Cligg, or Clegg...I believe it is Clegg. On the bottom left hand side of the matt the title of the picture is also pencilled in, "Sunset" Qualicum Beach, B.C., which is here in Canada on Vancouver Island. Looking at the back of the picture there are initials in what appears to be red crayon or pencil crayon, and it definitely looks like J.C., so maybe we have both found what we are looking for. The picture itself is one of the beach, clouds with the sun shining through, and a bird in the distance along the shore. Looking up the name on the internet brought me to this site and your search.
