I was very overcome by his story. I had read about it before but it's very different hearing him say it. People have asked the following questions and I want to hear what you thought about it: Was this appropriate? Was it premeditated or was it genuine? What did you make of this moment?

p.s. keep an eye on the reaction meter along the bottom of the screen. see how high they are when he's telling his story and how quickly they drop when palin starts talking politics again...

I thought it was quite genuine. And I think that he did have a right to feel upset at the fact that palin was making it look like she was the only one who knew what middle class america goes through on a daily basis.

yeah. to me i don't know if he had rehearsed it or not. I doubt it I think he got pissed that she was trying to say he was out of touch. Doesn't he have like the lowest net worth out of all the senators?

I read this article today it really moved me. link

Biden is, I believe, the least wealthy US Senator. He meant it when he said all his wealth is his house.

i didn't like that she was smiling when it was her turn to speak. after that moment, her smiles were inappropriate, in my opinion. did you see how the reaction meter dropped when she started talking agian???

i strongly disagree. her performance in the debate was better than anyone would have expected but it didn't overshadow the multiple trainwrecks she had during her interviews with charlie gibson and katie couric... she just didn't convince me.

yes. CNN has a reaction meter along the bottom of the screen during the debate. it's very interesting to see how the different groups react. during the presidential debate they had three lines: democrats, republicans, and independants. during this debate it was men and women. the orange was the women and the green was the men.

i saw it live on cnn and they had the reaction meter,
its better without it i think, telling people whether they should like something or not is a bit weird for me.

i don't think that was it. i think they were just monitoring how the people in the back room felt so that the viewers could get an idea of how any given group of americans felt at the mention of certain topics and the candidates' reaction to those topics...

I believe those interviews were aimed at making her seem less credible than she is. Broadcast TV is very liberal. Fox News Network is "fair and balanced".

I am sorry but fox news is not fair and balanced it is the furthest thing from it.

well thats bulls*** for two counts.

the first being, palin is the only one responsible for her lack of credibility.
she wasn't asked particularly difficult questions during the various interviews but she still fudged it up.

and secondly fox news is anything apart from balanced.
