I somehow got the idea that the shroud was not old enough to be authentic.

The top picture is what Jesus is depicted as on the shroud

The bottom picture is what a fist century Jew looked like.

The top Picture is of a European

The bottom picture is of a Middle Eastern

This is Mithra, a popular Mediterranean demigod who Jesus is based on. Mithra's mom was a virgin, he was born on December 25th, he was crucified and rose from the dead. Around the 3rd century CE Jesus replaced Mithra. I believe Constantine was a big influence in this.

And that is today's second pedantic factoid.

""5: Conclusions

The studies on the sudarium and the comparison of this cloth with the Shroud are just one of the many branches of science which point to both having covered the dead body of Jesus. The history of the Oviedo cloth is well documented, and the conclusions of this for the dating of the Shroud need no further comment.""

I wondered if Druze and Druid might have the same root.

Chuckle

I believe you have coined a new word. a suffixation is a new word.

In the case of our beloved President a truth-oid would be more accurate.

Truth-oid = not true be resembling truth.

Factoid = not a fact but resembling fact.

I have been defining fact as that which is incontrovertible. And ...and there are very few thing that meet that definition.

Our beloved President (it seems) lives in a different reality than mine. I find my reality acceptable.

Pop Quiz: how can you tell when Trump is using a Trumpiod?

Answer: his lips move

I like the boy. lol

Christians (most of) are aware that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th. In fact early Christians didn't even celebrate his birth. That's what Christianity should revert back to I think.

If Jesus didn't exist the Jews would have pointed that out long ago.

I think April, 4 or 6 BC?
Maybe the Muslims and Jews can come together with a Druze Jesus.
Druze in his day was not a closed religion as today.
The Druze closed themselves about 1000 years ago.
sooooo, you can share their beliefs, but you can't be one.

NO CHRISTMAS?!?!!!?@$$$$$$$$$$
