There would be no Russian invasion of Ukraine if Trump were president.

Sure... and if Hillary had been elected we wouldn't have been hit so hard by COVID-19...

You're exactly right!

Putin would have not invaded if Trump was in office.

NOT because Trump was such a great president but solely because Putin was scared to deal with an erratic man as US president. He couldn't trust Trump not to nuke Russia and that's the only reason he didn't invade on Trump's watch. Trump was too unstable for Putin.

Kind of ironic isn't it? lol!

Putin would have invaded Ukraine no matter who was president. The reason for the invasion is to reinstall Yanukovich. The timing is geared to affect the American midterm elections - hoping to make Biden (and therefore the dems) seem incompetent.

If Trump were still president it wouldn't matter because he would be on his second and last term anyway. The question is would Trump have done anything to help Ukraine? Answer; probably not. Reason - first sentence of this paragraph.

Dear Mr President,

Increasing domestic oil production would have the effect of reducing the price of oil.

Middle America cares. You should too.

Dear Mr President,

Don't you think that the oil companies are gouging us?

Are there potential anti-trust/monoply/price fixing schemes that could be investigated?

Don't worry... we Americans... the intelligent ones at least... understand that this cost of gas inflation thing is a scam by rich oil companies.

We know you have nothing to do with it.

There... fixed that for you.

During times of international crisis or a war it is not uncommon for the government to step in and limit sales of certain goods or require the production of others. Fuel tokens in WWII and food rationing are examples. Our flexible system allows us to survive and succeed in all political climates.

Early actions taken by your favorite person has hurt the United States. How about the Keystone pipeline. He could have left that alone.

Apparently, he's a huge fan of Jimmy Carter and really wants Carter to be redeemed from his low standing in our nation's history

--just by continuing to display frailty and a fuzzy mental state and a fuzzy/frail presidential agenda.

Before Trump left office, gas prices were around $2 per gallon.

TC Energy is based in Canada (hint "Trans Canada" )

Are you a CANADIAN?

Keystone is a red-herring in current energy costs.

I’m not silly enough to think that you and I are friends but would like to congratulate you for walking back your assessment that I am a Russian asset. Canada is closer. Enjoy your Easter weekend. Hear the bells ringing they’re singing that you can be born again.

Rather than building new pipelines across pristine wilderness, weaning ourselves off of oil might be present a better course. I'm a fan of biofuel. E85, 15% gasoline and 85% alcohol is a viable option in the US. For the price of a stimulus check any car could be converted to run on E85. We now pay farmers not to grow corn that could be used to produce the alcohol. Oil companies in the US have the equipment, talent and capital to put this plan in motion.
