Are they friging kidding me. For all those who don't know Wooton Basset is a town near a RAF base were all of the UK killed soliders are brought home. Their flagged drapped coffins are paraded through crowds of thousands. Its almost a sacred place. Now these idiots want to march. To be totally honest I would be surprised if the police allowed it, if they did these "extremists" will be lucky to get through the town alive.

I think the police should stop them from even entering the town. I wish other towns did what wooten bassett does, i think we should thank the soldiers just like the states do

Last time I checked it was a free country, you can't demand freedom of speech then exclude a group from it. They're not doing it to tarnish the names of the soldiers just to point out that no one really mourns the innocent men, women and children that die everyday in Afganistan.

Was about to post something similar.

May not agree with the views, but we're a democratic country and I can't see any legitimate reason why the Police shouldn't allow it.

One of the things people fight for in wars is others freedom of speech,to halt this march would be hypocrytical , and making a song and dance about it is bringing it into the spotlight which I'm sure they will love.
All the amazing people of Wooten Basset have to do is go about their normal business and if they are impeded by any marchers call the police for an obstruction of the highway.
No fuss but point made.

to honor an enemy, is way different then to honor your own.
this might cause violence more then understanding.
time will tell

So non-combatant innocent civilians are the enemy now are they? Cause I thought it was the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

i totally agree with the fact that if you live in a democracy, then all people within that democracy have the right off free speech.

but when the people concerned are an organization like islam4uk and the place they want to march is wotton basset, then the picture changes imo.

islam4uk are not a nice muslim organization who hold tea parties and fetes to raise money for muslim causes , they are a radical islamist group who not wish to integrate into british society (as their name clearly suggests),and they also fully support the actions off other islamic fundementalist groups through out the world!!!, this is the sort of organization that the would be christmas day bomber would have freely associated with!!,.

so let them have their provocative march, for every one marcher have ten policemen, close the town down ,and have a totall media blackout, that way the marchers get their right to march, but get no publicity whatsoever.

and lets be honest here the only reason they have picked were they have, is to dance on the graves off british soldiers.

most innocent civilians in afghan are killed by taliban for doing evil things like reading, dancing, listening to music, not wearing islamic clothing or beards, oh, and of course daring to think for themselves!!!
