Oh man. You should seek counseling to better your marriage, or talk to your wife and try to work it out, or just leave her.

To start an online affair is not the way to go. And not fair to your wife.

Regardless of whatever the situation is, starting an online affair is going to do nothing but drive them apart even farther.

I agree completely...try to do something to better your situation...because that really isn't fair.

That's one screwed up relationship...and even if she was...would he be wanting this woman to be "discreet?" He would just tell his wife about it. I highly doubt she is doing the same thing.

Yeah I agree with everyone else. Is a little online fling really worth your marriage? You'd be giving up on it without even trying to see if you could work it out. Things are rough, but you should try and work it out. Having an affair, even an online is only going to make it worse

I'm not judging. I'm simply saying that it's wrong. Infidelity is wrong, no matter which way you look at it. It's not a matter of me judging him.

An online affair probably isn't the way to go if you are having problems at home. It would seem an affair online or not would make things worse.

He may not be asking for counseling or advice, but he states he would "like to meet a women thats not happy right now and is looking for some pleasure and companionship from someone nice".

Now why exactly would you want an online relationship with another unhappy person? So misery can wallow together? Hell, if you're going to have an affair, online or otherwise, I would think that you'd want to make yourself happier, not potentially make your life even more miserable. Find someone to lift you up, not bring you down more, so you can trod down some path of self-destruction

Hey, thephoneguy, please indulge me as I relate a few things.
I have been married to my wife for 23 years; twelve years ago she had the misfortune of contracting breast cancer. Now her mother had breast cancer and when she got it her husband left her. Now when my wife found out that she had it, especially after the surgery she was truly afraid that I was going to leave too. I told her under no uncertain terms that I preferred to have her with a scar than to not have her at all.
You know what?
These last twelve years have been not only the best years of my marriage but my life. I've never been closer to another human being.
You, sir, should be ashamed!
My considered advice to you is to go home and appreciate what you have. You may rest assured that the reality is never as good as the fantasy and the only thing that you are about to bring on both yourself and your wife is immense pain...Be Warned
