Is there a Christian Church that follows scripture?

Over time, all the churches and creeds of Christianity that I know of have moved away from following scripture to the letter.

I am not saying they should but with the acceptance of women priests and homosexuals as well as not believing in Mary and or various other tenets of scripture, no church seems to be following the WORD of God.

Has the old church disappeared or am I looking in the wrong places?
Should the old tenets have been kept?

Regards
DL

Hi DL

The problem with this question is your starting point

Did the church Christ started have the scriptures from the begining or did they rwrite the scriptures?

If they wrote the scriptures, then they (it) is the only one that is able to tell what the letter of scripture is.

The problem with what we have in the world today is that every one is interperateing the scriptures with a preconcieved idea of what they want the scriptures to say before they even start.

Try looking for a church that has a 2000 or so year history then you might come across the church that can tell you what the scriptures mean, rather than people deciding what they mean then telling thier church.

If the church is not 2000 or so years old then you can be fairly certain that it was not started by Christ.
