I have a 3rd Generation iPod Nano (I got it March 2008 brand new).
So far it's been very good to me but just a few nights ago, the headphone jack started acting up.
If I move/push/bend the earbud plug in there a certain way, I can hear the music fully, but if I'm not touching it, the sound is f***ed up.
You can't hear vocals and you get a "Studio-like" quality to the sound.
It kinda also feels like it's loose (the actually hole itself I mean). (yes, that is what she said. shush)

So my question is, is it worth going into the Apple Store to see if they can do anything? How much do you think it would cost, I mean?
Should I just get a new one?

Also, I tried using an air duster can to clean it out and it hasn't worked. (that's what the "geniuses" at the apple store did the last time I had issues with the jack and it worked. (that was back in 2009)

The headphone jack is soldered to the mainboard in the iPod Nano 3G. Mainboards for the 3G Nano are hard to come by and expensive, because they also include the memory. Apple will tell you it's unrepairable.

By the time you get a new logic board, new battery, and new rear cover (you will bend the hell out of the old one getting it apart) you could have bought a new/refurb on eBay.

I would probably just buy a new one, then again I'm too lazy to fix things and I like having new stuff.

Both of my iphones (2 and 3) did the same thing. It seemed to be caused by using inferior headphones/speakers/cables that were slightly off size for the jack. Once I got it to act right, I resorted to using only I brand stuff.
Good luck

I did. I'm thoroughly convinced it's the device itself.

It's a touch and go thing.
Every couple months or so something goes down but it almost always gets fixed. Either by me or just by itself.
Now Idk what else to do. I think it's RIP iPod.
