At school me and my friend were on the fields walking and talking, and I learned a new thing bout him. He's a Jehovah's Witness religion. But he's not sure about it, he's pretty unsure about it and is questioning the religion.

So, do you think its right to question it?

Of course it's right to question your own religion. Only by questioning something can you be sure that it's right for you.

Of course it is right to question it otherwise you would be living your life blindly. Now he just needs to make sure he is questioning it for his own good and not that of others.

well i guess it's not something that happens very often, but in my opinion, ur religion should b wat u believe, and not ur family or parents. unless it's something bad.

I think it is important to question your religion.

Its the only way to know if it is right for you.

Yes, I think its very important to question your religion. If you're not sure about your religion, I don't think you can be a good advocate for it. Not only that, but there is no point in following something you're not sure you believe in just for the sake of someone else.

To follow any religion blindly is to ask for trouble.

I've questioned religion for years, and have concluded that most popular religions are incorrect because they rely heavily on God (or Gods, or whatever) in being a judge of the actions we make. Since our actions are causally determined like all other events, God could not judge our actions fairly since He is the first cause and would have decided them for us. As such, only a deistic view would be close to the truth, where God is seen as having created the universe and then 'sat back', already knowing how the story goes, like an author or a scribe. All modern organised religions, including that of Jehovah's witnesses, are theistic, and expressly require that God is a judge rather than a scribe. Therefore, they are wrong at a fundamental level.

Jehovahs Witnesses are forbidden to read anything analysing or criticising their religion. Wonder why
Couldn't possibly be due to the many sites on the internet giving support to the people who left that religion and who were shunned by family and friends (can't be real friends then!), some driven suicidal by this ostracising. Or how about the sites showing pictures of their founder celebrating Christmas.
Or how about that possibly, ever so possibly, many of their claims don't hold up to scrutiny.
Sounds like a leadership scared of truth really.
