For those who are interested......

This is the best explanation of the game I could find. It would be way to hard for me to explain it so.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket

Any further questions ask me, thomo or stormie or even garf (I'm sure there are others that are interested).

And just fyi you can find an enjoyable online cricket game at https://www.stickcricket.com

I think one of the most interesting things about test match cricket and something that many people new to the game would find bizarre is that the game is set to last 5 days (from around 10 in the morning until about 6 in the evening) and at the end of those 5 days it is quite possible to have a "no result". This no result does not in fact mean that both teams have the same points (runs) but that neither side was a clear winner.

what people find hard to understand is that you can be over the moon with a draw, and after 5 days of cricket the game can be decided on the last ball.

but that to me is one of it's most attractive points,

Same! Y'know its probably a very good thing for the game that you guys won the ashes. We'll be guarenteed sell out crowds out here now. If you hadnt won attendences would have been a worry.
