There are many, MANY more examples of fraud commited by staff within the UK before the big outsourcing push. It's not a symptom of outsourcing, it's a fact of life in the banking industry. There will always be someone dishonest looking to make a quick buck.

If you are worried about it, avoid banks altogether, because no matter if they hire in the UK, US, India or Mars, there will be someone looking to rip you off.

?230,000 from 16 customers, so im assuming they are business customers and probably making some offshore deals seeing as they are using that call centre.

Its not new, its been going on for a long time but considering lack of detail i would assume joe public is safe on this one.
