I think the words Christ, Christmas, Christian etc, have a nice ring to them, but if Jesus had a different surname, for example, imagine his surname was, Headbanger, his name would become Jesus Headbanger instead of Jesus Christ. I don't think to many people would be interested in a religion known as the headbangers. Just a thought.

Interesting thought, but Jesus' last name wasn't Christ. Christ was more like a title, meaning 'the anointed one'. He was Jesus, the Christ.

And another funny thought....if you follow the logic given here , his 'surname' would have probably been Carpenter.
