If you get Swine Flu once

Can you get it again?

I heard someone say that you can't catch the same cold twice, I'm just wondering, if I get it will I be immune

Only with flu can you not catch the same type of flu, if it mutates, then it is a fair possibility you can catch a different form of the flu

So no one is safe

viruses change their form so as far as I know, your body will recognise the same strain but not when it mutates

Basically, if you catch a certain strain of a virus and you have a decent immune system, your body will "recognize" that strain if you ever catch it again. That way, your body fights it off before you can get sick. Of course not all viruses work this way, like HIV and Herpes..but most cold and flu strains do, so I figure if you get it once and you're a healthy person, you probably won't get it again.

No, just have to eat and drink healthy, and try preventive action, like avoiding people who sneeze and cough into you, if they do, best to punch them (btw, not really endorsing that)
