If you ever thought about leaving TFS, what changed your mind?

We see a lot of members banned or otherwise, but some members choose to leave. When we feel we've gotten to know them it's always a shame. Some return - some never come back.

We all have our reasons and I'm sure most are personal ones; a sign that we have active lives outside the site.

Have you ever contemplated leaving TFS - and if so, why did you change your mind?

Well, I had actually left TFS once... didn't delete my profile but I was absent for 6 months or so. I decided to come back when I realized that TFS wasn't what I first thought it was.

Cuz TFS is how I talk to this...uh....girl that I know..te'he... when other ways are not available.

I think if everyone was honest they would say they have thought about leaving at one time.
What keeps you here are the great people who are on this site.You all know who you are.
They make up for what ever goes wrong .
Thank You for being there ,when people need you.

I thought about leaving last week.
The reason I didnt was because I had gotten offline, took a nap, had a weird dream about someone on here talking to me and felt I shouldnt leave.
And, because if I had left, I wouldnt be able to talk to Skunky anymore.. and I didnt like that

If I left I'd miss some amazing people.
It's well worth being here to know them.

There are some great people on here. I have almost left before. but the good folks keep me here.

I had to leave when I lost my internet service.

But yeah, I tell myself that I won't be obsessed with TFS, and I invariably come back every night.

It's like TFS is a monkey, and it's permanently attached to my back...

Yeah, was a long time ago...6 hours in fact...seems like forever...why did I change my mind...a certain pm explaining to me how to work this site! D'oh for lack of knowledge.

I thought about leaving in January because I was very down after 2 deaths in my family, one after the other, a really f***** time for me. I didn't think I'd have anything to contribute or that anyone would care if I mentioned it. Everything just seemed dark & blah to me, I wasn't thinking straight.
I left it for a couple of weeks and came back to find the most amazing kudo reasons for posts I had forgotten I'd even typed in. People has PM'd me to wish me well about posts I'd left and hoped I was okay.
Other people's appreciation & kindness here made me stay. Now I try to return the favour where-ever I can.

same thing happened to me... i was gone for almost a year!

I was gone for a week due to lack of a computer. Not many people noticed.

I've thought about leaving, because sometimes TFS can be a very drama-ful place. But, after thinking about it, being able to debate things that are important to me, having fun, and talking to my friends outweigh that by a lot.

To be completely and totally honest, if I were going to leave I would just log off and never come back. TFS really doesn't mean that much to me, I haven't made any friends that I would miss horribly. I mean, I understand why people like TFS, I really do! But I have a life, I work a lot of hours, am at the gym every day, ride my horses and usually go out on weekends to dance and travel and stuff..until recently I was in school full time as well. I just don't have very much time to devote to this website. So for me it is for entertainment purposes only, and I have left and not logged on several times just because I forgot about it. No one would miss me anyways, haha.
