Who would you vote for.

Not who you support or who you like the most, but sitting in the constituency you live in who would you vote for?

(For people not yet old enough to vote pretend anyone 13 and over can vote)

And Why.

Lib/Dem.

EDIT: My current MP (Kerry Mcarthy) is an idiot, as much as I don't mind Labour I wouldn't want her to stay on in my constituency.

Hell, I don't even know who's sitting in my constituency.
Caroline Flint's my present MP, and she's been pretty good to be honest. She's a very community-minded lass.

So, unless there were any more-left people standing, it would probably be her.

I'd vote Labour.

In my constituency it is a straight race between Labour and the SNP so for that reason Labour over the SNP. Plus tactically I want anyone to win (within reason) other than the Tories so the more Labour mp's the better.

Hmmm tricky one.

Before giving my answer, I'd best give a bit of background -

My constituency has for years been misrepresented by a right labourite whining dinosaur. She was a thorn in the side to labour, and a self confessed hater of opponents. She got in only really on the backs of the good people at the top in labour. She was way to the left of militant, and I have it on good authority my town was overlooked by both the tories and labour as this b**** was so obnoxious and uncooperative.
She stepped down to retire, and her neighbour (literally) took over. She isn't so much obnoxious as a cross between the invisible woman, and the person who is overlooked as irrelevant. People in the town dread her being involved in anything as it's thought she will make such a mess of campaigning she will do more damage than good. Even Gordon Brown allegedly sidelines her (So she must feel like how Brown feels about Obama )

Putting all these aside then, it's not so much about the politics, as getting the useless dregs out. I'd like to vote Libdem, but they have absolutely no chance. I haven't decided, but am tempted to vote tory just to help get her out.
Round here, labour are the party of the old and tired. The young people, and ethnic minorities, where they are into politics, are into the tories and libdems.

Then again, it shouldn't be a hard choice. Labour have decimated the pension funds, wrecked education, brought on the worst recession for a long time, been the cause of the rise of the BNP etc. There just isn't anyone I trust however.

still cannot understand why so many can consider supporting the shambolic labour party after 13 years of lies, deception and mis-government.

but we all have the right to choose

Aside from their failings, Labour have got a few things right in stuff like EMA and unions and all that. Sadly there isn't really a good alternative either. As much as I like the Lib Dems, people won't vote for them as they'll feel it's a wasted vote, the BNP are sickening and The Conservatives seem very slimy to me. Therefore I can see why some would vote for Labour.

In my heart, I'm Labour (as they used to be before they became what they are now). Social Engineering hasn't helped their cause in the slightest, far too cynical. Champagne Socialism has never rung true to me, either. The days when they really supported working people and their concerns is long gone. Having said that, there's nobody else that I've got any faith in.
