Can I just drag and drop files from my phone to the computer?

I genuinely have no idea as my laptop has built in bluetooth.

It's important for my work

Depends, some phones you can, others need software to do this.

See if something shows up under My Computer. If a removable disk or some new disk shows up, most likely you can click and drag. If not, you may need a software that come with your phone or a 3rd party one to capture files and make them viewable and transferable.

Oh f***

Where would I find out? Obviously I can't install software on a college computer.

If you plug it into your computer, without the aid of any software, then you should be able to plug it in your college ones.

LG Secret?

Then, just plug in with USB connection. Removable disk icon should appear under my computer.

If you used the phone as mass storage device, and the icon of removable disk appears on my computer but cannot double click / open but only give out "insert disk" errors, make sure you have a working memory card (micro SD) in the phone before you can access any files on the phone via the mass storage setting. Once you have the card in, you can click and drag files between your PC and phone.
