Idiots spreading misinformation

I freaking can't stand people who "correct" me about basic computer and technology facts, but are totally wrong themselves, then completely ignore every piece of proof you offer.

I am in the middle of an argument with someone who continues to insist that Windows XP Home and Vista Home Premium do *not* support dual-core CPUs. They do. I'm using one at the moment. I've provided screenshots and link after link after link confirming it, but he ignores most of it.

It wouldn't really be a big deal and I'd just ignore him if he weren't offering the "advice" to someone who's about to purchase a new computer.

What O/S is he suggesting instead? Or is he suggesting a single core CPU?

Oh, and I'm with you on this one. It gets right on my tatas, or voluminous breasts as you might say.

He's actually suggesting XP 64 or Vista 64 because "the 64-bit will support the dual core cpu" and "if it hasnt got the 64 bit disc version, you wont get much out of your cpu."

When I told him that I'm currently running XP Home (32-bit) on a dual-core CPU, he helpfully replied "maybe your xp is just using the one core and not the full dual cor"

the os will use both cores not just one the guys a fool and i pity the fool for using faulty rationale *funny i use the same thing when argueing about intel and amd processors*

Some people are just scared of actually gaining knowledge from other people. What a pity.

I smashed my 2006 mac book pro because the wireless card wouldn't work. It pissed me off. Apple was trying to charge me 1,000 dollars for it because it had a small dent near the button to open the screen up. I will post photos of it you wish to see what I did with it.
