Woman Apparently Eaten By Her Wolves
Autopsy Will Be Performed On Body
SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Captive wolves used for hybrid breeding may have eaten their owner in Pennsylvania, NBC Pittsburgh station WPXI reported.
Police in Salem Township said the family of Sandra Piovesan, 50, found her dead inside a kennel where several hybrid wolves were kept.
There were adult and pup wolves near the body when it was found.
The county coroner said it will take an autopsy to determine if Piovesan was actually mauled to death, or if she suffered a sudden medical emergency and the wolves moved in after that.
Family members said Piovesan was feeding the wolves when the apparent attack took place.
